Sahar Khatib explaining leverage in Real Estate at Keller Williams Mega Agent Camp 2024
By Sahar Khatib
On stage at KW Mega Agent Camp 2024, Sahar Khatib explains how she built her business around a one-hour buyer consultation and a trusted showing partner.
At Keller Williams Mega Agent Camp 2024 in Austin, Texas, Sahar Khatib joined a main stage panel to explain how she runs her real estate business.
Why she redesigned her business
When COVID hit, Sahar had three children under 10 at home. She says she was at a decision point: change the business or leave it. Many of her clients came to her through referrals, and she did not want to let them down. Drawing on her background as a software engineer and problem solver, she built a system that works for her family and her clients.
How the system works
Sahar explains that buyers most want her for her guidance and negotiation, not for opening doors. She leads a one-hour buyer consultation herself, in person or by Zoom, FaceTime, or phone, covering goals, timelines, and lifestyle, so buyers see a short list of well-matched homes instead of dozens. A showing partner, a newer licensed agent who shares her values, handles showings, inspections, and walkthroughs. Sahar writes the contracts and negotiates. She, her partner, and the client stay on a three-way text, and she joins calls during showings whenever she is needed.
Her advice to other agents
She names two keys: build a real connection with the buyer during the consultation so they never feel handed off, and take your time choosing a showing partner, because that person is your face on the road.
